Have you ever had Absynth ???!

Question: Have you ever had Absynth !?!?!?
How was it, what did it taste like, and where did you get it!?

I've heard stuff about it recently, how it was widely outlawed for many decades, because it was believed to have narcotic properties, but now they know it just has a high alcohol content!.
But I've heard it's good!.
Tell me about your experience!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absynth is a software program!. You are asking about Absinth Absinth!.

The chemical thujone is present in Absinthe in small quantities supposedly making it a dangerously addictive, psychoactive drug!. By 1915 absinthe had been banned in the United States and in most European countries!. The elaborate preparation and association with famous dissolutes in the 19th century increased it's reputation!.

No scientific evidence has shown it to be any more dangerous than ordinary liquor!. However, vodka is usually around 40% alcohol by volume, and absinthe can be 55%–89!.5%!. Pure grain alcohol is 95%!.

Recipes for homemade “absinthe” are available on the Internet!. Stay away from these because they are unpleasant to drink, not authentic absinthe, and may contain uncontrolled amounts of thujone which will make you very sick!.

My experience with high alcoholic content herb liquors is similar to my experience with grain alcohol!. You can get extraordinarily drunk very quickly, and I wouldn't recommend drinking it anywhere you don't feel safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the taste is not the best in the world but it is mainly just alcohol!. The other main psychoactive in Absinthe is wormwood, a mild hallucinogen!. However, the amounts contained in absinthe are not enough to do anything!. Wormwood needs to build up in your system and you would need to take multiple shots ever day to achieve any hallucinogenic effect!. My advice is to just stick with beer or the hard liquors more easily obtained in the U!.S!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've never had it before, but it's now legally available in New Orleans!. (Of course!.!.!. it's the most obvious place for it to be legalized!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's an acquired taste, by which I mean!.!.!. I'll never get in the habit of having it every week!.

It tastes a little bit like anisette liquor or Pernod!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We have it in Australia, one shot = approx 4 drinks!! Cool but hot!Www@FoodAQ@Com
