*Smirnoff is cheap and bitter, I'd avoid it unless all you want is an inexpensive buzz!.
*Grey Goose is a little pricier (as you know) but it's got great taste and is really smooth!.
*Absolut is probably somewhere in between!. It's not as bitter as Smirnoff, and is quite smooth, though not as smooth as Grey Goose!.

I do find it funny when people order top shelf vodka for cocktails!. You're taking an expensive vodka and diluting it with cheap ingredients, but still paying top shelf prices!. lol!.!.!. what a bunch of wannabes!.
