I'm 19 going to Rome next week for a school trip. I understand it's legal to drink there at my age, but can I!
bring home some wine back to CA if I buy it there!? My mom wants some wine, and I guess I can buy it myself there since it's legal, but can I actually bring it back the US since I'm underage here!?

Buy it there and ship it home!. They can't open any packages that are being mailed and since your purchasing it at a legal age you shouldn't have issue!. also you won't have to worry about the bottles being broken during travel or leaving space in your luggage for them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's possible that customs could take it away from you (depends on how big of jerks they want to be)!.
The safest thing is just to ask someone else who's over 21 (a classmate or a chaperone) to pack it for you!. Or, if you wait until duty free shopping on your way home, you'd be carrying it onto the plane and would be very easy to give the bag to someone over 21 just to take it through customs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My college marching band went to Italy a couple of years ago and we may have just been being a little paranoid or whatever, but any of the under 21's who bought alcohol on the trip gave it to some of the over 21's to take through customs just in case!. I don't know if anyone was checked or not, but I always go for the safe rather than sorry policy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No you can't bring it in because of your age, there should be a shipping-type/UPS-type store that can send it for you!.

You likely won't have a problem- customs does not care about your age, but you may want to ask a chaperone or adult who is going with you to carry it just in case!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I took about 20 bottles of wine from Germany back to the states when I was 14!. I can't guarantee your success, but I really don't think you'll have a problem with customs or security!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
