To obtain a Liquor license do you need a place first?(a lease)?!

Question: To obtain a Liquor license do you need a place first!?(a lease)!?
Answers:
Depends on where you live!. I recently applied for one in California and had to have the lease signed prior to starting the process!. Reason: for on-trade (gastronomy) licenses, the bar must be furter than 300 ft from any school!. There are a variety of other aspects involved with the location - ask at the State level ABC (formerly controlled by the ATF)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Certainly around here you do!. But you should talk to your local licensing agency to make sure you know the exact procedure in your area before you invest a lot of money!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

To obtain a liquor license you need to have an established, inspected business, with all certifications/inspections etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
