Question: Homebrewers: Can the sugars in bakery waste be fermented into ETHANOL!? Does cooking make that impossible!?
Got an answer to my last question saying they can no longer be fermented which contradicts something I heard elsewhere!.

Is there a trick to it that few know of!?

I don't know what "bakery waste" is, but I'm sure it can!. Rum is made from cane sugar - if that is what is in "bakery waste" and you can Russians ferment a drink called kvass that is made from bread!.

You might not have the next taste sensation but, what I think you are getting at, you could make something to put in your E85 ready car!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They should ferment!. You should also use some malted barley or enzyme to convert the starches!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
