Why do people pee a lot when they drink alcohol?!

Question: Why do people pee a lot when they drink alcohol!?
Answers:
Because there is a hormone in your brain called ADH!. That stands for ANTI DIURETIC HORMONE!. As you know, a diuretic, is something that makes you pee!. So if you took a "water pill" that is a diuretic!. Well this hormone in your body is called ANTI-diuretic hormone, so that means it is against diuresis!. (In other words, this hormone does the opposite of what a water pill would do!. It keeps you from losing water (peeing)) So when alcohol is consumed, it messes with this hormone, and its job!. When the hormone can not do its job, the opposite happens!. Pee, pee, pee!.!.!.all nite!. Hope this made sense!.

When you drink alcohol, your body treats it as a poison and must change it or excrete it to get it out!. Your body will convert alcohol into sugar and water!. The water comes out as pee as does a little bit of alcohol!. If you drink so much that your body can't convert it all (about 1 beer per hour per 150 pounds of body weight), you will start to pee out more alcohol as well!. It's important to drink a lot of water because of the dehydration issues mentioned in other answers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because booze is made up largely of water, so if i drink a 375mL beer, theres a few hundred mL's of water in there, if i drink say, ten beers then thats a good couple of litres of water there, i'm dealing with metric here hope that's okay, so if u were to go drink a few litres of water right now you'd pee a lot too, that and the whole dehydration thing =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
