Homebrewing question... why is my beer not fermenting?!

Question: Homebrewing question!.!.!. why is my beer not fermenting!?
I've had my first crack at making beer!.!.!. sanitized, did all the steps required!.!.!. malt extract, heating, adding hops, cooling it down and adding brewers yeast!.!.!.

But i've had my beer in a glass container with a special airlock for over 24 hours now and it's not bubbling (no oxygen entering maybe!?)!.

What are some things that i might've done wrong!.

Thank you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Don't panic yet!. It could be that the yeast is just a little sluggish in getting started!. I have had brews that have taken a little over 48 hours to get going!. If you hit your third day (72 hours) and you are seeing nothing, check to see that you have a good seal with your airlock!. If you have a good seal, and still no bubbling, then get another yeast starter ready to pitch!. If you have been solid with your santization, you should be just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The yeast may have been a dud batch, the temp may have just been smidgen too high, or it just might take another 24 hours before you start to acutally "see" it bubble!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just hope your nasty beer doesn't get you into too much trouble!.!.!.

I don't know the answer, i just thought the question was really funny!. Good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
