Question: Where can i find ABSINTH !? It is a forgotten alcohlic drink from eastern europe!.!?
Answers:
Like Ghost said, it's popular in Louisiana where I live!. In most upper-end liquor stores, it's sold under the brand name "Lucid"!. You'll recognize it by the black glass bottle with stark green eyes over the brand name!. Speaking from experience, the flavor and strength make absinthe not for everyone; however, there are those of us who adore it!. If you like licorice (NOT Twizzlers, but real black licorice) you'll probably like absinthe, as they both have the same primary flavoring agent, anise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absinthe is hardly forgotten -- there are hundreds and hundreds of posts on Yahoo Answers about it!.

Where you can get it, and what 'it' is depends on where you are!.

Absinthe was made illegal in many countries, including its home France, and in the USA

Absinthe was not made illegal in other countries, such as the UK where you can easily buy it!.

Then there are countries that allow a drink called absinthe to be sold if it does not contain all the original ingredients -- such as the USA recently!.

Since you do not say where in this wide world you are, the only useful answer I can give that works anywheer as where to buy the real stuff is http://www!.eabsinthe!.comWww@FoodAQ@Com

Absinthe was legalized, wormwood and all, in the US in December of 2007!. It is originally French so enjoyed considerable popularity in Cajun country in Louisiana!.

You can now find Absinthe at some supermarkets!. I know BevMo sells it in store and maybe on their website!. Indvidual states may have differing legislation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess its okay if you want to mix it with sugar or something, but otherwise forget it!.
