i was looking up dom perignon for a godo vintage and saw a regular bottle of champagne and a bottle of rose champagne!. whats the difference between the 2!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are two methods of making pink Champagne that are allowed!. The more expensive was is to allow some skin contact with the black grapes!. It is difficult to judge the color that will remain after the process!. The cheaper, more reliable way, is to blend in some red wine!. usually the blend of the wines used to make up the champagne!. a rose will have more pinot noir than chardonnay and will have had more contact with the skins of the pinot noir grapes!.
