Whiskey is a large overarching category!. Scotch whiskey is only made in Scotland (as opposed to Ireland, Canada or America)!. There are differences in Scotch Whiskey as well!.

Single malts are made from a single distillery!. These are typically more expensive and not mixed with anything!. Examples: Glenlivet, Bushmills, Glenmorangie, etc!.

Blended whiskeys are made from a mix of whiskeys from different disitlleries!. Examples: Canadian Club, Jameson, Chivas Regal, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All Scotch whiskey is Scotch, from Scotland!.
Dewars, Johny Walker Red, Johny Walker Black, Johny Walker Gold, J&B, Cutty Sark, are some examples of Scotch!.

As far as Whiskey, there are two kinds Canadian Whiskey and American Whiskey!. Here are a few examples:
Jack Daniels(American), Black Velvet(Canadian), Seagrams VO(Canadian), Seagrams 7(American)!.
