Everclear apple pie (190 proof)?!

Well, look at the recipe Mayor west gave!. You have 1qt of 95% ethanol in 2 gallons of non-alcoholic drink!. That's already a 1:8 ratio, with the 95% ethanol figured in it becomes 10!.55% ABV!. That's less than wine has!. I would say you can feel the alcohol in wine more than taste it!. Around 20%+ I generally begin to actually taste the alcohol, rather than feel it!.
Now, with 2 qts of Everclear you have a 2:8 ratio, which produces a 19% ABV drink!.
And everclear is a nearly pure ethanol, so it shouldn't impart a distinctive flavor of its own!. What you end up tasting is the alcohol, which doesn't have a flavor so much as a sensation anyways!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd say it didn't taste like alcohol because of the a## load of sugar added!. Crap, the apple juice and apple cider have enough sugar in them to begin with!. Why the heck would you add 4 cups!? That is probably the most fattening drink I've ever seen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Everclear is pure grain alcohol and doesn't have any flavor!. Just because you can't taste it doesn't mean it won't make you falling down drunk if you consume a lot of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
