It is a toss up between Westvleteren 12 and Dark Lord!. They change back and forth between the number one and number two spot so often it is nearly impossible to say!. Though the Westvleteren has head the spot for many more decades!.

Personally:
I go with the Westvleteren as the greatest be I have ever had the pleasure of drinking and not to brag but I've drank well WELL over 1,000 different beers!. The taste is unholy just how good it is!. Such a perfect balance of malt, fruit and alcohol content!.
Though I do argue strongly that it is impossible for someone to pick out a favorite beer!. My tastes are constantly changing!.!.!. some days I crave an Imperial Stout!.!.!. others I want a nice tart Lambic!. Belgian Strong Ales are always great!.!.!. There are so many different styles of beer out there!. It is a shame that the general public is normally only familiar with one!.!.!. Pale Light Lagers, possibly he poorest example of beer on the planet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best beer to me is Blue Moon, Belgian Ale!.
Of course you have to swill it around near the end of the bottle as you pour to get all the sediment out!.
It is a classic unfiltered wheat beer, belgian style!.

I persoanlly like dark beers!. Stone Smoked Porter is one of the best i've had so far!. wHY!? It has a flavor and fullness that is awesome!.

Bitburger Lager Beer 500ml 88 ? Brauerei Bitburger Pils!. Pale yellow-gold hue!. Clean pale malt aromas follow through on a crisp, snappy medium-bodied palate with light hop bittering making for a highly drinkable style!.

Guiness Stout, now that's a beer that has taste, kind of carmelly and peaty!. You get an amazing display of fluid mechanics when you draw a pint as well!. What could be better!.
