Answers:
I say that the number one benefit (when paired properly) with dinner is flavor enhancement!. Choosing the right beer with the right meal is a art form!. For example last night I made Indian and I needed a bold beer to mach the bold flavors of the dishes I made!. I chose Two Hearted Ale from Bell's Brewing Co!. as my dinner drink!. The way the flavors played off of each other was a true joy!.

"Does it help digestion!?"

Some claim it does!.!.!. I've seen no empirical proof one way or the other!.

"does it help the heart!? is it just completely an unhealthy beverage!?"

In moderation it is incredibly good for your cardiovascular system which can prevent heart attacks and strokes, even better for you than wine!. Besides being good for the heart it is also!.!.!.!.

High in vitamin B
High in simple antioxidants (Easier for you body to break down and use!.)
Powerful natural antibiotic
High in Iron (Stouts and Porter mostly)
High in fiber (wheat ale mostly)
Proven Cancer fighter (2005 Japanese study)
Great source for a portion of your daily water supply (low ABV beer that is)
Stouts contain Lactic Acid
Hoppy beer has been linked to stimulation of certain brain cells, resulting in improved short-term memory
Malty beers are good for the complexion and the hairWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's just a completely unhealthy beverage!. It's loaded with calories that you really don't need!. It is carbonated which is bad on the stomach!. If you want to help your heart, have a glass of nice red wine with dinner!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's healthyer than pop!. Fewer calories, vitamins and antioxidents in the less processed stuff and the alcohol protects the heart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself!.

I like a drink myself, but not with food, I prefer to focus on the food when I eat and the booze when I drink if that makes sense!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
