Question: Going to a picnic and wine!?
today i am going to a bbq at my italian bf's house!.!. his parents only recently started accepting the fact hat we're going to be together for a good long time, if not forever and we've been together almost a year!.!.!. anyway, they are from italy, like actually all born and raised there and i decided i would bring a bottle of his fathers fav pino grigio, santa margherita!.!. but, i want to try and make a good impression, and yes, suck up a bit, and i bought a bottle of banfi prosecco also!.!.!. for any of you who know, should i bring the prosecco, or should i not!? would it be inappropriate for today, or couldn't they just save it for another time!? what would be a good way to get the parents to say, "i guess she's not so bad!.!.!. at least she doesnt show up empty handed all the time!.!.!." lol!.!. help, please:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would bring the wine!. it is a nice gesture to the party givers!. They do not have to open it and serve it if they do not want to that is proper ettiquette!. It is a gift for the host/hostess even if they are your BF parents!.

either the prosecco or the pinot grigio is fine!. I would personally bring the dad's fave!. it shows you are paying attention to what they like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bringing a gift of wine is very appropriate--two is even better!.!. They can choose to serve it today or save for another time!.

Some flowers might be nice too, if it is in the budget!.
