I like to put the edge on the counter of the table, and punch down hard with the heel of my palm to pop that guy right off!. After that, I always like to keep one person around with teeth strong enough to pop them off !.!.!. he tends to be useful for a bar fight too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Actually, the seat belt clasp in your car makes a pretty good bottle opener!. I've used it many times!.
Mind you now, you should never drink alcohol while driving !.!.!. so we're not talking beer bottles here now are we!?

I tried to open a drawer and put the cap underneath it and pry it with that, but all of the soda splashed out everywhere!. I've not found a replacement for the unique shape of a bottle opener yet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The edge of a counter or table that you don't mind scratches on is your best bet!. Personally I have two different bottle openers on my keys, so I'm never without an opener, but on rare occasions I've found table edges work best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
