Question: If alcohol kills germs, can you share wine with someone and not get sick!?

There is a high probability of getting sick!. Germs feed on sugar and any alcohol has a high amount of sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would reduce the chances of spreading germs, but wouldn't eliminate it!. The alcohol content in wine is diluted so it would not instantly kill anything it came in contact with!. Aos, the outer rim of the glass would pass germs from mouth to mouth without the wine coming in contact with it!.

If your question is specifically about colds, it's hard to pass a cold by sharing a drink!. Colds viruses like to enter through the eyes or nose, usually by touching the germ, then touching your eyes, or breathing in someones sneezed germs!. Sharing a drink isn't very effective at passing cold germs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The alcohol level in wine is not high enough to be germicidal that quickly!. However, if you drink enough wine, you won't care -- until you sober up!. Be a sport and spring for a second glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pure alcohol ethanol kills germs!. no i sont think so if someone has a cold and they sneeze chances are you will get it too!. eat plenty of oranges and drink plenty of water and orange juice and it should prevent colds and flus!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

alcohol 'may' act as a disinfectant on simple germs!.!.
Not all viruses are effected!.!.
You are warned daily about the exchange of Body Fluids!.!.
