A few questions about drinking and driving, the legal limit, etc.?!

Question: A few questions about drinking and driving, the legal limit, etc!.!?
where i live the legal BAC is !.05!.
i don't know if it varies from place to place!.

my question is hard to explain,
but if two people both had a reading of !.05 would they both feel the same!?
could one feel 'drunker' than the other!?
so if I get drunk easily, should my limit be lower (!.03 or something)!?
and does that mean that if my reading was !.02 and someone elses was !.05, we could still feel the same, or be the same 'drunkeness'!.

sorry if that doesn't make any sence at all!.
PLEASE help though!.

Makes perfect sense!.

Yes, people feel different at the same levels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The limit in Texas is !.08

No, two people would not necessarily feel the same!. You have to take into account various things:

Did either of you eat, how tall are either one of you, how thin you are, how FAST you drink the same amount of alcohol, how seasoned you are (if you drink more often then your friend you'd be less inclined to feel as much as they do)

So, if you take into account all of that, yes you and your friend could POSSIBLY feel the same at two very different readings!. Some people are even coherent at near !.4 (which is when you fall into a coma and die)!.

That answer it!? ^_^Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you witness an anomoly with another person, do you have the same reaction!? You may both agree that the situation was perceived a certain way, but I do not think it would affect you the same way!. Ditto with alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think its deepens on the person how you can control your alcohol - you can act like dumb *** and if you drive die but some people can act like they didn't even drink- and if you really concentrate you actually can drive pretty good when you waist itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Metabolism! Everyone's different!. The legal limit is set for the lowest common denominator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Where in God's name do you live!?!?!? !.05!? What draconian state is it that puts your BAC at less than one beer!?!?!? Sorry for you bro!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it would be pretty uncommon for 2 people to have the same amount of impairment just because their BAC is the same!. They would have had to eaten the same amount all day, drank at the same speed, and had similar tolerance levels!. Which is why the BAC Legal Limit Laws suck!.

A 200 lb guy could have 5 beers in an hour and still be at !.07 which, here in AZ, is below the legal limit!. If that guy doesn't drink regularly, I bet you he would be pretty buzzed after drinking a beer every 12 minutes for an hour but he's legally okay to drive!.

I'm a 115 lb woman and can't have one beer when I get off work because I would be above a !.08, even though I've been drinking since I was 16 and 1 beer doesn't do ANYTHING to me!. It's not fair at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
