Why Packies?!
Why are liquor stores called packies!? I mean, yes they do sell packages of beer but there are many many bottles of liquor and wine there!.!.!. More of a variety than beer!. So why not call it a Bottley!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it is regional!. I know Massachusetts and Rhode Island, maybe all of New England!.!.!. but not beyond that!.
They sell packages of things, as you said!. But don't they sell cans, as well!? So a bottley woudln't work! A liquor store!? But they sell beer and wine, too!.!.!.How about alcohol store!? Some sell chips, soda, and ping pong balls, too!. Nothing will be totally accurate!.
