Answers:
Yeah, I think my local ASDA is doing that!.!.!. no problem for me though because I always carry ID!.!.!.

Perhaps we should just start fitting coloured wrist bands to our children like we do with pigeons, then when you're 18 you get it cut off!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it is true that you now have to look 25 to buy alcohol!. It is not just Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys that somebody mentioned, it is nation wide which was brought in by the Government!. The Government are sending in people under the age of 25 to buy alcohol and if anybody is served then that Store/shop are fined an extortionate amount and the seller is sacked!. In some cases they have the power to close that buisness!. It is another of their supposedly "great" ideas to stop under age drinking, as kids are drinking now from the age of 13!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There will come a time, my friend, when you will be rather pleased that someone thinks that you look too young to buy alcohol and asks you for ID!.!.!. (usually well after the age of 25, certainly)!.

Don't take it personally, the people in the supermarkets are just doing their jobs - if you are old enough to buy alcohol you should have some form of legal ID by now!.

I don't think it's a joke, actually it's a good idea to stop people drinking under the legal age limit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In Wales the legal age is 18, so they say if you look under 21 you get asked for ID!.

Thankfully here, they rarely follow the rules, and just say if you look 18, you don't have to provide ID!.

Unfortunately I'm 17, and I look 15, so I never have much of a chance!. When I go out I always need to sneak in to clubs, hiding behind friends!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What's the big deal as long you as are of legal age!? Is it really that much of a hassle to pull your id out!? I'm 22 and could still pass for 17 so I completely understand that they have to card me now and probably still will when I'm 24 or 25!.!.!.big deal!. I'm all for keeping idiotic kids from getting drunk and doing idiotic things so as far as I'm concerned they're just doing their job by IDing everyone and I'm glad that they are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im 18 and i think its jaring id all the time veryshop id id it anoying as i look about 19 well i think if you dont look old enuff ask for id but most shops ask anyway jsut think the shop could lose its lisence because of this stupid law and the smoking gone up to 18 what a joke that turned out to be i was 17 when the law changed i was able to buy sigs for a year then they stoped me so i had to satnd outside a shop like yob !.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think this is a good idea, we have to do something to deter underage kids damaging themselves for the sake of a roll in the park!.

they think its fun at the time but will regret their actions in the future, we have to to make a stand to protect them!.

i am nearly 24 and still get asked for id to buy a lottery ticket, i take this as a compliment and at least ill grow old gracefully!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pretty bog standard I'm afraid - liquor stores have had signs up for going on 10 years to that effect! Some countries say if you look under 30 you'll be ID'd!.

Get over it!. When you're old enough to have a driver's license you'll be carrying that all the time and it won't be a problem!. And for that matter, carrying an age card isn't really that hard on your wallet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm 44 and I get ID EVERY time!. I live in a college town and every store has mandatory ID for EVERYONE!. Even my mom gets ID and she is 73!. I get ID more now than when I was 18 and the drinking age was lower!. If the cashier is under 21, they have to call a manager over to verify the ID!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In Ohio there are signs at stores that say "If you look under 40, you will be carded!." If you're over 21, you shouldn't be worried about it!. In fact, the older I get, the happier I am to be carded!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think some of the big supermarkets are starting to up the age to 25!.

I'm 25 and get asked quite a lot in my local tesco, I don't look any younger than I am either!. It's still nice to get asked though lol! My Olay must be working! lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!.!.!. I got carded at Asda last week and I'm 27!. It's not that big a hassle unless you're underage to begin with!.!.!. I would prefer to be carded than to watch the teenagers get wasted in the park every weekend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think that the UK needs to do SOMETHING to stop kids buying alchol!. And i dont care if i get id'd in a shop, who cares, you got your wallet out to pay anyway!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm 20 and I never got IDed until the past 2 months, all those occasions have been in Asda where I shop!. Yet never when I was 18 nor in a pub!. I suppose even with the 'check 21' programme it hasn't been enoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

I think it is still 21!.

I am 27 and still get asked for ID!. I just carry it around with me all of the time now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yea thats the way it is in Asda!. But the cheap *** drink makes up for it!. I've never been asked for ID tho!. well so far anywaysWww@FoodAQ@Com

I get annoyed when I'm not asked for ID to prove I can buy drinks legally - they are inferring that I look old!Www@FoodAQ@Com

People no longer look their age and since the ABC is cracking down on this, these measures must be employedWww@FoodAQ@Com

Ive heard some supermarkets are making it law from 1st june 2008!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the secret to it is always carry some form of id and you will be served!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually it's 27, and at Walmart, if you don't look 40 they card you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes cause a lot's of kids buy drinks and not good for they!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yup sure heard that, as far as i know its Sainburys and Adsa and Tesco!?
