According to bartenders; what are bar cards?!

ok so we don't have them in the state i'm in, but i think they are something that allows the bartender to work within that state or county!. sort of like registering with the state (something saying i can serve there)!.!.!.i could be wrong!. =)

or like in texas!.!.!.!.its another id card that says you are 21 and you have to have it with you in any rest!. to drink!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was a bartender for at least 10 years and don't have a clue as to what you are talking about!. My guess would be that they are recipes written on cards and kept in a file to tell you the recipes on how to mix drinks that you don't know!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
