Do you consider this drinking too much?!

Question: Do you consider this drinking too much!?
on the 10th we took my fiance's co-worker out for his 21st, i had 2 long island iced teas and a blue hawaiian over about 3 hours!. was kinda tipsy!. last friday we threw this same kid a surprise party, i had 2 blue hawaiians, a long island, and half a daquari (i spilled the other half when someone bumped me) over about 4 hours!. i was kinda drunk, but laid down and fell asleep, but i think i would have had another drink had i not laid down - lol!.

kinda in the mood to have a drink or 2 tonight but am not really sure since i'm tired right now and really want a nap more than anything!. but i feel like i'm drinking a lot this month!. i did have a margarita somewhere this month as well at some restuaunt with dinner!. usually i dont drink anything all month, maybe a few drinks ever COUPLE of months!. the only reason i DID drink those times were because my fiance's co-workers were throwing these "parties"!. does it seem like a lot!? i dont drink beer or wine, so this is liquerWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
you're fine, there's alot of people that drink a lot more than you do and still function normally

as long as you're not dependent on alcohol and its not interfering withe your job or personal life, you should be able to have a drink whenever you feel like itWww@FoodAQ@Com

It may be a lot *for you*!.
However that would be considered very tame by some!.

Each person has their own levels of tolerance and experience - each part of the country/world has a different idea as to what is considered heavy drinking!. In general *more* than 2-4 drinks *per day* is considered heavy drinking!.

Most of the people I know would consider you an extremely light drinker - as they drink at least 1-2 drinks per day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say no as long as you slow down!. Dont drink tonight, just take a nap and let your body "recover"!. You are craving alcohol not because you are and alcoholic, but merely because you have the option to drink it!. Its kind of like me dangling a chocolate cake with lots of good ice cream over your head and you taking it even though you really arent hungry or dont want it!. Its just tempting!.
goood luckkk =] and get some sleep!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have to ask this question, then that should tell something right there!. O!.K!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is weird how you keep sort of defending how much or little you drink!.!.!.!.!.!.I mean if you just listed what you drank on those nights without all the other stuff I would have said you sound like someone out celebrating and simply having a good time, but the fact that you are worried and write things like "maybe a few drinks every COUPLE of months" capitalizing couple seems like you are a bit defensive!. Is someone telling you you drink too much!?

I guess also, how old are you and do you have kids at home!? I mean when I was young and didn't have kids I went out and drank more than I do now!. In fact, now one beer puts me to sleep ;) But I have 3 kids in their early 20's and they go out and have fun!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.just that time in their lives!.

Edit
I think one of the misconceptions you have is saying that beer and wine are different from liquor!.!.!.hun, they are all liquor!. Don't fall into that trap!. Thinking you're safer drinking one thing over another!. And so what if beer doesn't affect your fiance, one builds a tolerance the more they drink and that is NOT a good thing!.
Look at the big picture here, you SEEM really worried and defensive about your drinking and you seem way overly concerned about it!. THAT in and of itself is NOT normal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you feel like it is, then yes!.

Two long island's are a significant amount of liquor for anyone as they are nearly all alcohol!. Depending on the size of the glass they are mixed in they could be anywhere from 2 to 5 shots of liquor that are all 80 proof or better!.

You sound like you aren't used to it so maybe it is!. It is just all depending on the person!.
The fact that you are concerned is a good indication that it may be too much for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
