Answers:
I like Absinthe!.

The reason that you were unable to buy it may be where you live!.
It's illegal in certain countries, including the U!.S though they now allow some brands to be shipped and there is even a company in the US that produces it!.

Absinthe has long been believed to be hallucinogenic, but that's been debunked time and time again!.
I've heard it called "Liquid Exstacy", but historians think that any hallucinations were the result of posionous chemicals that were added to cheap Absinthe to give it that nice green color that the more expensive brands have!.

also please remember that you are not supposed to drink it straight from the bottle!.
Absinthe is supposed to be diluted with sugar and water!.
Usually a little bit of Absinthe is put into a glass!. An absinthe spoon is placed over the glass (an absinthe spoon is basically a slotted spoon) and a sugar cube is placed on the spoon!.
Cold water is poured slowly over the spoon, and the sugar and water mix with the absinthe (3 parts sugarwater to 1 part absinthe)
During this process, the components that are not soluble in water, mainly those from anise, fennel, and star anise, come out of solution and cloud the drink!. The resulting milky opalescence is called the louche!. The addition of water is important, causing the herbs to "blossom" and bringing out many of the flavors originally overpowered by the anise!.

Absinthe tastes like anise or licorice so if you like those tastes then I would suggest it!.

If you want to try it because you thin you'll get high or have hallucinations, save your money!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absinthe in its original form is indeed illegal in the US and has been for almost a century!. I have had a modified version of it my sister purchased quite a while ago!. (and not much, as it is very strong and I have little interest in getting plowed)!. I liked the taste, it reminds me of Jagermeister, although I personally think Absinthe has a stronger licorice anise flavor than jager!. It is prepared as the previous post states!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go to Phoenix, AZ and go to one of the popular bars!. They might have it!. I just saw it on the news from there the other day!. But it was at a more high class type place!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
