When you say Champagne, do youmean the real thing, from Champagne in France!? If so, for a sweet Champagne look for the word 'Doux' on the label -- that is the sweetest, 'Demi-Sec' is the next sweetest!. You're looking at around $40
If you mean any sparkling wine, then the Italian sparkler called Asti will be just what you want, and less expensive!. Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante is a good brand for around $15Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should in all cases restrain drinking champagne along the meal - That is "faux chic" - typical Hollywood ( don't forget the white phone )
Serve it as aperitif - with grilled almonds - or at the very end of the meal - but otherwise if your meal goes with fish, sea food, white meat in cream sauces, go for white crisp wines such as Muscadet sur Lie ( which is astringent ) or a great White Bourgogne Aligoté ( should find it in your country ) or a white Bordeaux - Those three productions are not astronomically expensive
Champagne as aperitif, great white along the meal and NOTHING else - otherwise headaches will spoil your workWww@FoodAQ@Com
