Coconut rum?!
i was wondering, is it possiable to make rum or any type of spirit from coconuts!? if so are there any on the market!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rum is made from sugar / molasses and the best from demerera sugar, then casked in oak for years!. You may well be able to concoct some sort of drink from coconut, I don't know, but it wouldn't be rum!.

You can't make alcohol out of an actual coconut, but you can make alcohol out of another part of the tree!. If you collect the sap, seeping out of the tip where the coconut was cut from, and let it ferment, you can create an alcohol called Tuba!. If you distill it is called Lambanog!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well there is Malibu rum which is coconut flavored, there are also a few other brands of coconut flavored rum the only other one I can think of off the top of my head is called Cabana or something like that!.

I don't really know if you can make rum from coconuts, but Malibu is a mighty fine drink!. Its white rum with coconut in, it tastes lovely with diet coke!!! ummm!.!.!.!. i might go grab myself one now actually!Www@FoodAQ@Com
