Does port wine get better if you pay more (maybe a stupid question) and if it does then suggestions?!
Answers:
Depends!.
Some have high prices because they are vintage Ports but they're not always worth the price!.
I've had some $200 to $300 vintages!.
I would recommend a nice 10 or 20 year "Tawny"!.
Fonseca is nice but theres many other houses!.
The higher the price dosen't always mean better!.
Sometimes a $20 bottle will drink as good or better then a $50 bottle!.
If your new to ports, start with a 10 year old Tawny and work your way up!.
Don't spends 100's on your first bottle!.
( not worth it)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

as with most liquours port sterotypically gets better with age, which is generally higher price!. I personally like penfolds club port, as a medium priced yet higher quality port!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
