I would go with a nice Merlot, Cabernet or a Burgundy!. The rule of thumb is, a red wine with a red meat!.

Any of the following wines would go well: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Burgandy, or Shiraz!. You won't go wrong with any of these although this is really a matter of personal preference!.

If the steak and potatoes were on my plate, a Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon would be the obvious choice!. It's the perfect pick here as well, but stay with an easy-drinking, light-tannin version for the best match!.

You can really serve any wine you would like!. With steaks I generally use port because I make a sauce for the steaks with port wine!.!.!.!.but whatever you have on hand will be good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
