I'm not sure where you live, but in western New York it is available at Wegman's supermarkets!. If you cannot find it, you can make your own version using lemon-lime soda (sprite, sierra mist, etc) and grenadine (Rose's brand is widely available)!. Sometimes Shirley Temples are made with ginger ale, so you can experiment to see which you like better!. also, I've seen cherry flavored 7-up in the stores around here as well, which would be another alternative for you, and definitely a lot cheaper than the Saranac version!

And actually, not all grenadines are non-alcoholic, although today the non-alchoholic version is the vast majority, the grenadine cordial (which is about 3!.5-4% alcohol) is still available!. In the US, the shirley temple, however, is virtually always a non-alcoholic beverage!. There are still some people (especially those a little older) who get confused!.!.!.I was waitressing one day and a little girl asked for a shirley temple, and her grandmother asked how we made them, and I said "Just grenadine and sierra mist" and she said "YOU PUT ALCOHOL IN A KIDS DRINK!?"!.!.!.but I reassured her that we had the non-alcoholic variety of grenadine!.

That was a bit of a tangent, but I hope I answered your question :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Shirley Temple IS non-alcoholic!. It's just 7-up and grenadine, with a few cherries thrown in!. It was made for (and named after) the young actress Shirley Temple (Black)!. She was too young to be drinking at the time of her fame!.

Sheesh! You'd think people would THINK about some of these things before asking questions like this!.

Non-alcoholic version!. That's rich!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
