What is the Australian government doing about alcohol addiction?!

Question: What is the Australian government doing about alcohol addiction!?
Answers:
thee Australian government introduced a new alcopops (premixed drinks) tax, nearly doubling the price of pre mixed drinks, but they forgot to raise the tax for straight alcohol and as such many young people are now simply buying straight alcohol and mixing themselves, also NT and North QLD have alcohol bans, for certain townsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Why should it be the governments responsibility to keep people from making the personal choice of whether they should drink or not!?

Otherwise, I say they should just enforce strict drunk driving laws, which is more of a problem than people just drinking alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nothing,
It's kind of hard to when alcohol is legal and pretty much everyone over the age of 13 drinks!.

It's too hard and a waste of money!. It is better to just have adverts against binge drinking like they do in New Zealand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
