Do some people just not like beer?!
So far i am one of these people!. I tasted and sort of drank beers throughout my life!. I havent become addicted or joyful to it as much as i see people in the movies and the bars i pass by!. I just cant get passed the bitterness!. does it taste better after a few more tries!. it might just be the beers which i drank which are hienekin and some imported german beer!. Several people don't like beer!. I often find it hard to differentiate between various beers beyond their actual type, for instance Lagers, Ales, Pilseners, etc!. That being said, I love the taste!. I drink copious amounts of Pepsi, and I guess that it's just so sickeningly sweet that I have acquired a love for bitter things like black coffee and stout beers like Guinness Extra Stout!. It's just a taste that you can't get anywhere else!.
I personally didn't like Heineken at all, it made me gag after a few glasses which has never happened to me with any other beer that I've drank!. It was too sweet for my liking anyways!.
Some good beers to try at first are ones that really don't have much of a pronounced taste, for instance Corona with a lime or a Molson Canadian, Miller Genuine Draft, etc!. A pretty average tasting beer that isn't repulsive and is dirt cheap is a beer called Brava!. You can get a whole 24 for $26 lol!. Then you can step it up to Budweiser, Alexander Keith's, etc!. which are a bit stronger but still pretty subdued!.
If you don't like it by then, I would probably just assume that I don't like beer!. You can try something like Guinness, but odds are you would find it too strong!.
Beer isn't for everyone, there's nothing wrong with that!.

hienekin sucks!. i know people who just dont like beer!. i dont like hienekin, corona and miller but miller is a sweeter beer in my opinion!. guieness is obviosly bitter!. if you want a more sweeter brand, try natural ice, key stone, michelobe, bud light, ex!.!.!. those are just cheap beers but keep trying because all beers are different and it really is a good beverage!. you have just had a bad expirience with bad beer brands!. theres a lot of german beer and the tastes vary so you probly had one of the more bitter tasteing ones!. if you still dont like beer, switch to liquor or try mikes hard lemonadeWww@FoodAQ@Com
I have always hated beer, too, which makes me sad because i love alcohol so much!. the only beer that i actually can stand is lindemans framboise lambic beer(it's raspberry flavored and more acidic like wine)!. its kind of expensive, but its opening my mind to beer, maybe it could help you ease into it also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like me! I have sampled many different beers (and gotten drunk on them) but beer just doesn't do it for me as far as taste, I don't get it either!. I much rather have a mixed drink or wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
NEVER developed a taste for it & I've tried 100's over the years!.

That's me!. Bums me that something that looks so good can taste so bad!. I've tried lots of different kinds, hubby keeps hoping he'll find one I like, but nope they all have that bitter aftertaste that I just can't get past!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
