Answers:
Bombay Sapphire gin, Grey Goose Vodka, Bacardi rum (and maybe Bacardi Dark), amaretto, brandy, Irish whisky, Cuervo tequila!. Baileys, dry vermouth, Kahlua, Grand Marnier!. Scotch (I can't give you a brand, I hate it)!. A variety of schnapps, peach is the most popular!. And a bottle of Midori!. And of course a variety of mixers like bloody mary mix (NOT Mr!. and Mrs!. T!), sour, tonic, club soda, OJ, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and a bottle of grenadine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, first how elaborate do you want to get!? I would say for the most fad drinks you will need basics such as vodka, light rum, tequila and gin!. Good brands are anything literally on the top shelf to the middle shelves in a liquor store, unless you like the taste of rubbing alcohol and charcoal stay away from the bottom shelf!.

From here you can select a few liqueurs (schnapps, Midori, Kahlua etc) or specialty liquors (flavored vodka, spiced rum) to add to your bar!.

As far as mixers, there are dummy proof add-ons such as martini mixers in a variety of flavors, sweet-and-sour, juices, soda pop, soda water, tonic water, and just add liquor mixes for drinks like a tom collins, flavored martinis, or a sea breeze!.

You would actually be surprised how easy liquor companies try to make it for the inexperienced home bartender as far as mixers go!. The variety is astounding and there is always directions on the bottle!. It also will not hurt to pick up a bartending book detailing different drinks to try!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For Cosmos ;Vodka(I prefer Absolute, reasonable in price(& doesn't taste like terpentine smells!!!!), I prefer Grand Marnier to Triple Sec(it's a little less bitter but a little more expensive, however it makes a big difference for me), other then that you will need non alcoholic ingredients like cranberry juice and a splash of fresh lime!. For mojitoes go for Bacardi White Rum, use fresh mint leaves, I prefer a raw sugar mixed in instead of the white processed stuff, & fresh lime juice!. All you need for a margarita is a quality Tequila (Cuervos will due but at least go for the white Cuervos), lime, ice & sugar (a little tripe sec if you are feeling cheeky ; ) Gosh I could just go on forever, just buy these basics and maybe a good spiced rum & you should be able to get through anything!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep bacardi, midori, jose cuervo tequila, cointreau, smirnoff vodka, creme de cacao, baileys, kahlua, malibu, white choc liquer, limoncello!.

The bacardi is useful for mojitos, daquiris, pina coladas etc!.
The tequila for margaritas, tequila sunrise etc
Vodka for cosmos, alcoholic shakes etc
The other liquers act as mixers, flavours etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

always buy the good stuff, personal favorites, and specialty liquor!. you'll want three different brand of the same liquor, why!? because they're not all the same, taste is different!. hence, you can make better drinks with more variations!. never buy alcohol that come in plastic bottles!. if you're gonna start a home bar, pretty much what everyone has already mentioned are the basics, triple secs are always good!. remember, once you open you have to refrigerate!. i've spent an s-load of $$$ on my personal bar, so if you're serious prepare to spend some dough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
