Hangovers?!

Question: Hangovers!?
Why is it that if you drink 'clear' drinks like vodka and leamonade rather than 'dark' drinks like JD and coke you get less of a hangover!? xWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Good question! It's because of the colouring used in cola drinks (caramel422) contains a chemical that reacts a little with alcohol to make alcohol molecules slightly thicker taking the liver longer to absorb the alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's because of the other ingredients!. Tanin for instance is known to promote hangovers, and is present in high amounts in drinks such as red wine, whereas drinks like vodka (not the cheap stuff) are almost purely alcohol (ethanol) and water!.

It can also depend on the pub/bar; many places don't look after their pipes very well and this can lead to you feeling worse, whereas if you stick to the bottled spirits you won't feel as bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

HELLO
UNLESS YOU HAVE MORE WATER WITH THE VODKA AND LEMONADE
HANGOVERS ARE PART TO DO WITH DEHYDRATION SO A GOOD GLASS OF WATER BEFORE BED
THE OTHER REASON WOULD BE THE TANNING AS THERE WOULD BE MORE IN THE DARKER DRINKSWww@FoodAQ@Com

I get monster hangovers whatever i drink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All the sugar in coke makes it worse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
