I'm surprised that economists go on holidays!!! I just thought they'd squirrel all their money away (as you say, there's no pockets in shrouds!)!.
I did once see an economist on telly once, and she explained the U!.S!. sub-prime mortgage crisis and how that was impacting or going to impact the rest of the world, and surprisingly enough, she was interesting, intelligent and nice!
