Supplier of Tokaj (Tokay) wine from Hungary?!
i tried ordering some Tokaj (Tokay!?) wine from Hungary as I have been to Tokaj & had the most amazing wine from my host!.!. but NO ONE seems to sell a proper Tokaj wine in UK!.!. i ordered the Fermint and the Cuvee (as i found the drier (i thought was Fermint!? & the Aszu the sweeter wine!?)) white wine more palatable when i was in Hungary tho i dont recall the nomenclature she used for the wine as she spoke no English or even German!.!.)
anyway, i am trying to find the wine i had in Hungary!.!.!. but have had no luck with UK suppliers!.!.!. can anyone find me a link with buying Tokaj wine direct from Hungary!? (perhaps i could at least get a UK supplier to order me some on their behalf!.!.!?)
i have also found Tokay (Tokaj) wine which is pinot grigiot as well as muscat!.!.!. if i am looking for the "traditional" Tokaj wine, which grape do i look for!?!? tyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The traditional Tokaji wine is the sweet wine made primarily from Furmint and Harlslevelu!. They may be a little Muscat in Tokaji but no Pinot Grigio!.
There may be some confusion here because Pinot Grigio (Gris) was labelled in Alsace until recently as Tokay but it was/is nothingto do with the wine from Hungary!.
Tokaji wines are sweet and every supermarket has at least one example, Aszu refers to sweetness (see http://www!.waitrose!.com/drink/wine/winea!.!.!.
I don't think you'll find the names of the grapes on traditional Tokaji -- the name Tokaji is all that is needed!.
I am not clear from your question whether you are asking about the famous sweet wine or other wines made in Hungary!.
see http://www!.hungarianfoodandwine!.com/inde!.!.!. for a UK importer of Hungarian wines!.
