It's expensive, hard to find, and if I drank it every day I'd probably weigh more than the monk on the St!. Barnadus label!. But it's my favourite treat, especially when paired with some crusty bread and a trappist cheese!. Black, syrupy, and full of dark fruity goodness !.!.!. the perfect Belgian!.

It appears that you like the stronger ales or Trappist beers!. This type of beer falls into the category of a 16B from the Beer Judge Certificate program (BJCP) The appearance is amber to copper in color with good clairty and a white head!. Fruity and light with moderate spice with a med to med-light body!. Try a Witbier: Hoegaarden , Blanche De Bruges or a Saison anything in the 16a to 16e class should do nice for you!. Go to a good beer store!. One with a solid variety and find who the beer buyer is and get to know him/her!. also google BJCP and look under the different classes for further reading and general commercial examples!. Relax don't worry and once you try quality you will want to brew your own and will never drink crappy beer again!. also if you have any micro-brewerys in your area go there and get to know the brewers ask questions and don't be afaraid to tell them what you like!.
