What wine was this?!

Question: What wine was this!?
About 10yrs ago the corner liquor store had some wine that I loved and have since been wondering what it was!.

The only thing I can remember about it was that it had a picture of an estate on the front and on the back it had a little blurb about how the vineyards that the grapes were cultivated from had been spared some crop disease in the 1700 or 1800s!.

I believe it was from France and it was either Merlot or a Bordeaux!.

I know this is vague but I'm hoping someone here can help me out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
A major phylloxera epidemy affected french bordeaux wineyards at the end of the XIX th century - Merlot is not a brand in France nor an origin - just some species among 9200 other ones in the world -

The production was then reconstructed thanks to plants imported from California wineyards, which already at that time had been created with french plants!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

So it was a bottle of Bordeaux - that's all one can sayWww@FoodAQ@Com

Do you know how many 1000's of bottles of wine fit that description!? Forget trying to find it and look for a new favorite wine!. Look at the wines from Granada Spain!Www@FoodAQ@Com

if its Rose wine it might be Mateus from PortugalWww@FoodAQ@Com
