Do restaurants care if I buy my underage girlfriend a drink?!
Allright, i am turning 21 soon, but my girlfriend is still 20, so I was wondering if restaurants ever care if I buy two margaritas or something and give one for her to drink!. She probably wouldnt feel good if i was enjoying it and she was drinking water!. Soccer moms, please dont start explaining that buying alcohol for minors is illegal, i know that, my question is mostly for people in similar situations, those who have tried it or somebody who worked in the restaurant business, is this something that people do or something that I am gonna get thrown in jail for!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the restaurant cares!.!.!. The server is a different story!. They may not, but they may also not be aware that they too could be held responsible when it comes that fine!.
Your best course of action is to not try!. If you attempt and I turned down, you'll be under suspicion by the staff for the rest of your meal!.!.!. making your dining experience unpleasant!.
However, it may not be as illegal as you think!. Depending on the state underage consumption may not be illegal!. Purchasing and serving is, but since alcohol laws are set at state level 19 allow underage possession and consumption!.

I don't know if this is typical policy at every place but they usually card everyone at the table!.!.!.they have the right to, and they should card anyone who is young like that to protect themselves!.

Both you AND the restaurant owner and server can go to jail or get fined, so they wouldn't hand you 2 drinks at the same time!. And if they see your girl drinking from yours, you'd probably just get kicked out!. I'm not a soccer mom, I'm an alcoholic, but either way, it's illegal!. Yes, when the authorities can suspend the restaurant liquor license, and they can charge you with contributing to the delinquency of a minor!. How would that sit !? Most places card both people to protect themselves from a fine or revocation f their liquor license for seeling to an underage person!. One time when I was 24, I was out with a 19 year old girl woman and I ordered a bottle of wine and I didn't get carded and neither did she!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My and my man went through this and yes they care!. I also have worked in liquor stores for years and the fine for the owner is starting at $10,000 so yes they care very much!. And after three violations they can never own a liquor license forever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
