At my wedding reception (years and years ago) we had orange sherbet in punch bowls of ginger ale!. It was really good, none left over!.
As far as the Jello, pomegranate is the most trendy flavor at the moment!. If you can't find it go for cranberry!.

1 3 liter Sprite
1 box rainbow sherbert
1/2 bottle of malibu rum
1/2 bottle of Sunny D tropical Strawberry orange
add sunny d and rum, then sherbert, then sprite

Yes I have put sherbet into a punch bowl just before serving it!.Then pour in the soda and it gets all nice and foamy!.Yum!.
We like any red flavor best at my house!.(Jello)Orange and Lemon do make nice salad bases!.Can add in fruit to the orange and peas/carrots to the lemon!.Top with Miracle Whip thinned a little with milk!.This is nice served on a lettuce leaf!.Can use individual molds to make it really special!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
