Is this normal? Vodka has messed me UP..?!
I drank a ton of vodka a few weeks ago, and ever since then, whenever I smell or look at vodka I gag!. I want to throw up!.

Ha HA!! Yeah that's normal!. It can happen with anything that makes you sick!. You associate that thing with vomit and it makes you gag!. It may or may not go away, it certainly will be less intense with time!. I have the same problem with Whiskey/scotch and the hairspray brand (the kangaroo kind) my friends used in my hair to cover the smell of puke from my parents!. That was ten years ago and the smell still is unpleasant to me but NO WHERE near as bad as it once was!. Ewe I couldn't even be in the same room as people who drank any brown colored alcohol!. One whiff and I was toast!. My mother can't drink orange juice because of a few too many screwdrivers in college and that was 30+ years ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I once threw up after eating a giant salted pretzel--I couldn't see those pretzels without gagging and wanting to throw up after that!.
Your body is imprinting a memory with a negative connotation!. The things itself relapses the memory of not liking it!. It's so us humans can learn, but considering you want to drink vodka again, maybe we shouldn't have these helpful guidelines in our memories!.

that happened to me with vodka once!.!.!. well with vodka and cranberry!. i threw up so much cranberry juice came out of my nose!. i didn't touch vodka and cranberry for like 2 years!.!.!. but now its my favorite drink again!.

i'm the same way with captain morgan (or any spiced rum really)!.!.!.!.too many times throwing up from it!. it will get better eventually!. for now, explore the world of other liquors!.!.!.namely rum!. there are tons of different flavors for you to sample!. and not to sound preachy, cuz believe me i'm not, but remember "moderation is key!.!.!."Www@FoodAQ@Com
i have a friend who is exaxctly the same,she hit it pretty hard on the vodka and has never gone back, she tried again a while after and it justmade her even sicker!. i think coz vodka is such a strong drink, the smell of it just makes u feel ill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It may take awhile, but you should get over your aversion with time!. I did the same thing with Tequila!.!.!.it took me 17 yrs before I could try it again!. However, I did the same thing again!.!.!.pretty sure I'll stay away from the stuff permanently!lol!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yeppp definitely normal! I can't do tequila or raspberry vodka for the same reason!
