**Suggested drinks for a newcomer???**?!

Question: **Suggested drinks for a newcomer!?!?!?**!?
I haven't really drank before!. Just one time I had vodka in kool-aid (They put half a bottle of vodka in a little less than 2 quarts of kool-aid) and also had Tequilla Rose!. People said I had a lot, but I felt absolutely nothing!. So I never drank again because I drank twice as much as the other people who drink a bunch, and I felt nothing!. (I'm not saying I'm a "heavy drinker" or whatnot, I'm just saying tequilla and vodka did nothing)
My boyfriend and his friends drink all the time on weekends and at the parties I sit there bored as what!.
I don't like flavored pop!. I stick to originals: Dr!. Pepper, Orange soda, etc!. No vanilla or cherry!. I once drank a little strawberry Smironoff, but the strawberry was so strong I couldn't get past two sips!. (didn't taste any alcohol, though)

Do you reccomend any drinks I could try that I could get used to!? (fyi the vodka and tequilla rose was fine with taste, for me) I have super high taste buds and am very picky!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Chances are you didn't drink enough of the drinks you tried!. If you drank the whole half a bottle of vodka with 2 quarts of kool ad you would have felt something, most likely you are mentally stronger than you friends and so the the placebo effect did not take place!. If you liked those drinks try them again but in this case drink larger volumes (within reason of course, i can not endorse high levels of drinking!!) one or two drinks will not always get you smashed and even though you cannot taste the alcohol it is there!.

Basically do whatever any new drinker does, experiment with lots of different drinks until you find your own, but do not write it off after a couple of times!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is a beer type drink, but its flavored, so to me it tastes like Apple Cider, not beer, its called Hornsby's!.

Screwdrivers are good, as well as rum runners!.

Go to a wine tasting!.!.!.you are 21, right!?!? Try some different kinds, see if your taste buds are enjoying any kinds, and try different brands of one kind you like!.
But, on the whole, if you're bored at the parties because you don't drink, you shouldn't be drinking to ease the boredom!. Welcome to step one of potential alcoholism! Either go to the party to have a good time with friends, or don't go because you are not part of the drinking crowd!. No one will make fun of you, and if they do!.!.!.they're not worth your time!!
Just my two cents!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
