Answers:
Get some Arbor Mist wine!. The flavors I like are Island Fruits and Blackberry Merlot, They're sweet and fruity and NOT bitter!. Happy Anniversary! ( I just had my 2 year on 06-17-08)Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you think Asti was dry and bitter, either you got a bad bottle or you should stick to Mountain Dew, because Asti is a sweet sparkling wine!.

Daiquiris by definition need to be made with Rum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

chardonnay for the wine - maybe La Crema - it's not sweet, nor fruity, but kinda buttery
either that or a Pinot Grigio, say Santa Margherita (sp!?)

Salutations,
First of all Congratulations on your anniversary, and many more to you both!
OK, a good Champange I would recommend is Korbel, it is resonabley priced but might be over 10 bucks a bottle in your area, but It is great!. A sweet wine, HMM, I am a fan of the dry ones myself, Gallo makes a White merlo that is very mellow, you might try that!. also one called Cafe Zinfidel, also by Gallo!. I would also suggest maybe a reisling, or a Lambrusco, you can certainly find them in many different price ranges, and Higher price does not mean better flavor!.
And yes Rum is generally how I go, I generally like my Vodka Neat but icy cold!. Look for a Strawberry Rum, yes they are out there!. CheersWww@FoodAQ@Com
