Anybody here ever hear of Genesee Beer?!

Question: Anybody here ever hear of Genesee Beer!?
I wanted to name my daughter Genesee (it's a family heritage name) but Genesee is apparently a brewing company!. I don't think it's the same as naming your kid Samual Adams or Miller or Bud though!. Or maybe it is, I don't know!. Anybody here ever hear of Genesee!? I don't drink, so I don't know it's popularity!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

See the History section!.

Genesee is a Seneca Indian name for = Pleasant Valley!. (isn't this the city name in PA where Penn State is!?)

Yes!. I have heard of Genesee Brewing Company and in fact I have drank some of its beers!. Not bad really just the run of the mill American-Style lager but with a hint of flavor!. I can remember back when I was just a young pup of a beer drinker they came out with 12-horse ale!. I have met NY'ers who are very proud of this brewery, and rightly so!.

I just love the name and in a grown women the name alone adds that essential ingriedent of a lady, "mystery!."

I am from central Pennsylvania and yes it's quite a popular beer in this area, mostly by lower income people and teens/college crowd because of its price!. Its like $11 for a 30 pack!. God awful beer though I remember drinking some at college parties comparable to Pabst or BuschWww@FoodAQ@Com
