If your characters have some money, then pricier highproof stuff, like Wild Turkey 101, Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan's, Jagermeister!. Straight up or mixed with cola, except for the Jager (which must be had on the rocks)!. Replace Captain Morgan's rum with Sailor Jerry for a stronger alternative (92 proof versus 70!.!.!. just that much more badass)!.
If they are poor, then low priced stuff: Popov vodka, MD 20/20, Colt 45, etc!. While vodka could be mixed with anything, a true badass would only drink that straight!. Since it's such a bad vodka, it makes them even more badass!.
I'm not sure why you'd say wine is a bit gay, it's more than twice as strong as beer (three times as strong as light beer)!.

Teenagers shouldn't be drinking at all, because it's illegal!. With that caveat, drinking wine isn't gay, but it probably isn't the social norm for this age group!. Unless the wine is Maddog 20/20, Nighttrain, or Thunderbird, a teenager should leave it alone!. Boone's Farm is for grannies!. A good masculine drink is whiskey and coke, like Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey, or Jim Beam!. Canadian Whiskey is also good--- 7&7!. Vodka is always a safe bet, try it with tonic or juices, ie the screwdriver!. Tequila borders on wild at this age!. But it is very nice in a shot glass with a beer chaser!. Limes and salt are a pain!. My last recommendation is Southern Comfort!. Try it with any flavor of Mountain Dew!.
Edit: The setting for your story will tell a lot because teens in the city and burbs have different options than teens in the styx!. Wine has no gender!. Wine is the champagne of fine drinks!. It is sophisticated and complicated, and usually enjoyed by connosieurs of fine cuisine!. Now, a teenage boy has no idea what this means, and it would be wasteful to serve it to anyone who doesnt have a discrimating taste!. this is an acquired taste!. As a tradition my family has wine with dinner!. I am highly offended that you would consider a guy who drinks wine, gay! I have had wine ocasionally with my dinners since I was 16 and I am not gay and have no real feminine side!. Your sterotyping relfects not only in the way you talk but how you act!.
