japaneese scotch is like chineese champagne ,by international purity laws ,in order to be called "scotch(more correctly ,scotts whisky)it has to be produced in scottland ,thus the name ,for instance Champagne ,comes from a region in france by the same name ,like bourbon whiskey comes only from kentucky (bourbon county to be exact ),and cognac also comes from the cognac region of france ,so the oroduct of which you inquire is more accurately referred to as japaneese scotish style whisky(yes I am aware that I have spelled whisk(e)y two different ways ,if it is made in scottland ,the word has no"e" if it is made in usa ,then it does have the "e" )Www@FoodAQ@Com

From what I can find, the most popular brand is something called Yamakazi!. I don't know if it's what you had or not, but it's got a bunch of Japanese looking writing on the bottle (I'm very technical like that) so it might be what you want!.

Here's the website, you can enter in your zip code and see if you can find it in Quang Bing, oops, I mean Pennsylvania!
