Answers:
i have made mead (honey wine) ales, porters, stouts, etc!.!.!.
my best advice is get a homebrewing book!. Cleanliness is essential!. also understanding why your doing something is best (i!.e!. don"t pitch the yeast when it's too hot or you'll kill them!)
also i made mead when a friend donated the honey!. some ingredients can get get pricey!. also look into making apple jack or hard cider ( pretty easy by most standards)

on books I recommend "The New Complete Joy of homebrewing" it's like the ultimate book for it!.
alsoi when your ready invite me over!. all homebrewers love to share and be shared with!. good luck and happy homebrewing!Www@FoodAQ@Com
