Alcohol increases anxiety!. The more you drink, the more anxtious you'll feel!. Hense the reason you feel you have to drink more around social gatherings!. Yes, it gives you "liquid courage" but, you'll find yourself needing this same liquid courage more and more often the longer you decide to drink!. Be careful!. It reduces your fear for the time being, but increases your fear over the long run!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, alcohol dose not give you courage or make you bullet proof!. It impairs you judgement, makes you think that you can take on the world plus gives you one hell of a head ake!. You'll be worshipping the porcelain god, going into total confession spilling your guts, not to mention the smell that will be coming from you!. I'm not saying that alcohol is bad for you, you just need to drink in moderation an know your limits!. To much alcohol can give yo alcohol poisoning and could kill you!. So the net time you go out or stay home, have a friend or two to keep an eye on you just in case you decide to go beyond your limits!. Drink responsible and don't become another statistic!. The last thing you want to do is to hold your breath for ever and ever!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
it does reduce, but not your fear!. it reduces ur judgement and reaction!. so if a car was coming towards to u wouldnt feel scared because u would have no time to react to it!. on a more lighter note, flirting with a guy or girl only seems less confronting if uv had a few to drink because u dont really know what u r saying or what u r doing, because it blocks ur judgement capabilities!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes it does! It's pretty messed up but my friend thought of suicide a few months but never had the strength or courage to do it so one day when he got really drunk he hung himself!. And I have a lot of friends that get all feisty and start fights with random people!.
When we are sober we can hide all that and be something we are not!. But being drunk off our butts I honestly believe it shows us all our true colors!.!.!. who we REALLY ARE!Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO, it reduces your judgment!.
When you are drunk you are no longer afraid of some things that would make you afraid if you were sober; and that is because you have better judgment when you are sober!.
According to Wikipedia: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Alcoholic_b!.!.!.
"An alcoholic beverage is a drink containing ethanol, commonly known as alcohol — although in chemistry the definition of alcohol includes many other compounds!. Alcoholic beverages are divided into three general classes: beers, wines, and spirits!.
Ethanol is a psychoactive drug that has a depressant effect!. Most countries restrict and regulate its sale and consumption; for example, they place legal drinking-age restrictions upon the sale of alcoholic drinks to young people!. The manufacture and consumption of alcohol is found to some degree in most cultures and societies around the world, from hunter-gatherer peoples to nation-states!. The drinking of alcoholic beverages is very often an important part of social events in such societies, and it can be an important aspect of a community’s culture!.!.!.!.
When compared to other alcohols, ethanol is only slightly toxic, with a lowest known lethal dose in humans of 1400 mg/kg, and a LD50 of 9000 mg/kg (oral, rat)!. Nevertheless, accidental overdosing of alcoholic drinks, especially those of concentrated variety, is a risk for women, lightweight persons and children!. These people have a smaller quantity of water in their bodies, so that alcohol is diluted less!. A blood alcohol concentration of 50 to 100 mg/dL may be considered legal drunkenness (laws vary by jurisdiction)!. The threshold of effects is at 22 mg/dL!.
Alcohol affects the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors, to produce a depressant (neurochemical inhibitory) effect!. Other psychoactives affecting the GABA receptor include gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, barbiturates and benzodiazepines!.
Excessive consumption of alcohol leads to a toxication-induced delayed poisoning called hangover (in Latin, crapula refers to intoxication and hangover) and represents the inhibited state of the brain in the initial phases of addiction!. Various factors contribute, including the toxication of ethanol itself to acetaldehyde, the direct toxic effects and toxication of impurities called congeners, and dehydration!. Hangover starts after the euphoric effects of alcohol itself have subsided, typically in the night and morning after alcoholic drinks were consumed!.!.!.!.
Alcohol intoxication affects the brain, causing slurred speech, clumsiness, and delayed reflexes!. The condition is called alcohol intoxication or drunkenness, and eventually subsides!.!.!.!.
The consumption of alcohol does not kill brain cells but rather damages dendrites, the branched ends of nerve cells that bring messages into the cell!. Alcohol dilates the channels in the cellular structure that regulate the flow of calcium, causing excess calcium to flow into the cells and stimulating increased activity!. This does not kill the whole cell, but causes a loss of the end segments, leading to the loss of incoming signals and therefore a change in brain function!. Most of this damage is temporary, but the recovery process changes nerve-cell structure permanently!."
The euphoric effects are what depress your judgment centers in your brain!. So the myth that drinking alcohol kills brain cells is not true, but it does damage them and if you abuse alcohol then the damage can be permanent; not to mention the damage that can be done to your liver!.
Alcohol is not liquid courage; it is liquid stupidity!.
You become braver because the nerve cell connections that are in your brain's judgment center are temporarily damaged and so you make stupid decisions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
