I wouldn't buy it in a kit form as the ingredients will usually be old and stale!. Pick a style, have the store assemble fresh grain and hops for you!.
Something to keep in mind is that lager requires lagering!. If you don't have refrigeration then you're better off making an ale!. If you don't have refrigeration but you're in a cool climate and can maintain fermentation temperatures in the high 50's low 60's then you can try a hybrid style like California Common or Alt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
