Question: I have a couple questions about cigar humidors!?!?!?
Do all humidors have to be plugged in!?!?!?

Do you have to take the cigars out of the wrap that the cigars are in before you put them in the humidor!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Unless you have an electric humidifier like Oasis, all humidors have passive humidifiers, so no - you don't plug them in!.

As for the cello on/cello off debate, it really doesn't matter as cellophane is porous!. However, keep all flavored scented cigars separate from the good stuff - cello does not act as a barrier and will contaminate other sticks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most humidors do not require electricity!. A humidor is mainly just a tightly closing container, that makes it possible to control the amount of humidity inside of it!. I have had very good luck using drymistat tubes to regulate the humidity in both of mine!. A basic rule of thumb for storing cigars is to try to keep them at 70% humidity and at 70degrees F in temprature!.
Experince has taught me that unless you have flavored cigars, they will age much better with out the cellophane wrapper!.If they have the thin cedar wrap on them, leave it on !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You will find that most humidors do not plug in!.

As for taking the cigars out of their wrapper, thats up to you!. I keem my cigars in theirs when storing in my humidor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
