Bartending question?!

Question: Bartending question!?
Hi, just had to ask a bartending question!. If I was to make two margaritas - or any other drink - could I do it all in one go!? I mean, if i fill up one shaker with two times the amount of one drink portion, would i mess up the drinks and flavours afterwards or would it be okay!? And what is the maximum amount of drinks a shaker can take!? (I normally use boston)!.Thanks!.

ps: please be as informative as possible!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ive worked as a bartender before and ive done the RSA which is Australian, for the responsible Service of Alcohol!. A Shaker is only supposed to be used once at a time because then the alcohol content is definately discernable!. Although house rules for different bars maybe different and national rules could also be different, but in Australia its an offence to be served a drink with an unknown alcohol content!.!. for a magarita i believe its 30ml of spirits or liquer

:) hope that helps a little!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can definately make more than one drink in a shaker tin!. The number of drinks depends on the size of the shaker and obviously what you are making!. For margaritas a better method for making them would be to build each drink in its own cup before shaking, then shake each individually!. This would prevent any overpouring of the actual drink because it was made in the cup it is to be drank out of!. After shaking each drink you could either salt the rim or not, then pour the drink into the cup!.

To really enjoy your drinks make sure you are using quality ingredients!.

Tequilla 1!.5 - 2 ounzes depending on how strong you want your drink!.

Triple sec about 1 ounze

Fill the rest of your cup with a decent sour mix!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

have a go, and see how it goes ,what is the worst thing that happen, it stuffs up, ,drink it!.!. try something different!.if you are shaking it i can not for the life of me see any reason that you would have to alter quantities in the recipe if you making some thing with a cream based fluid then maybe you might have to (separation)!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm Canadian so not sure if the same rules apply!.!.!. but I bartended for quite a while and we'd make up to 3 drinks per depending on what they were!. if it fit, we'd do it!.

If you pour 3oz into the shaker and pour 3 close to equal drinks out!.!.!. it is fine with the govs here!.

If you are at home though!? screw it and go nuts!.!.!. whatever you like! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
