What bothers me is that the majority of the shareholders and the people in charge of running the company do not want to sell and Inbev has said whether they wish to or not, they will take over even if it must be hostile!. And for the few shareholders that want to sell, the fact that they are threatening to take AB to court is just tragic!. They stated that AB is not looking out for their best interests (financially)!. How Dare they! This is a company that has been around for many years and should not be forced out of business or into new ownership without full consent of the powers that be!. I feel there is something wrong with the laws that allows this type of takeover to occur!. Hence, it will stop me from purchasing AB beers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I worry more that now three companies - InBev, SAB (Miller and coors) and Heineken - control more than 93% of the world beer market!. How long till one SAB or InBev turn their sights on Heineken and we are down to two!? SAB is known for their unfair business practices such as pushing stores to limit shelf space for smaller brands and buying and closing smaller competitors!. InBev is notorious for cutting costs by any means necessary including but not limited to lower ingredient quality and iliminating jobs on a massive scale!.
As far as A-B not being American owned!.!.!.I couldn't care less!. I didn't drink it before, I don't see myself drinking it now!. I much prefer full flavored beer!.!.!. IPAs, Imperial Stouts!.!.!.etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been a drinker of any beer I am in the mood for for years!. This includes Bud, Czech Pils, Belgiam Trappist or Abbey beers, craft-micro and have enjoyed them all in one way or another!. But Bud was an American Iconic label!. The company was good to the US brewing market and beer history!. People have been saying one day there will be just one mega corp!. running the world!. While I dought that this situation does hit home!. My purchases will just go all to the beers that give me the most pleasure!. My own homebrew, craft beers, and belgian trappist & Abbey brews!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's going to make Belgian beer quite a bit cheaper in the USA and Bud slightly cheaper everywhere else!. Otherwise, it will have no effect on the average Bud drinker whatsoever!.
