I like the twisting motion after driving the cork screw into the soft, yet firm cork!. Back and forth with steadily applied pressure!.!.not too firm to begin but building up to a steady, heavy pressure working the cork until it has no choice but to release the build up of moisture within as the sides of the neck get wet from the agitation!. The popping of the cork gives one a sense of satisfaction at the release, knowing that now the goal has been reached and the sweet wine is there for the taking!.
Synthetic corking can be used as well, while the satisfaction is not quite the same, still, one does get to enjoy the sweet juices of the labour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
